Line of Vision

Well we are coming close to the end of our study of different types of lines in art and the artwork of Romero Britto and Joan Miro! Next we will be working on COLOR!! I am so excited!  Color is my favorite element of art to talk about because we get to mix colors and paint and talk about how colors make us feel, etc...etc! Until then, here are of few of the finished pieces of artwork based on lines! Make sure to visit Artsonia where you can see your child's artwork.  Leave a comment and let them know how you feel about their pieces!

Kindergarten made line sculptures. These were so much fun to make and they really enjoyed them.

1st grade made a rainbow pattern, drew lines across their paper and cut them out to make line puzzle. These turned out really cool, even if some of our pieces were misplaced!

3rd graders are decorating soccer balls with line patterns for Hispanic Heritage Month.  They are going to be displayed in the gym for our fall musical produced by our music teacher. I love the patterns that the kids came up, don't you?
